one dick fight
I had the pleasure of watching a rerun of an old DLSU-ADMU game. I believe this was in 2002.. Game 3 of the DLSU-ADMU game and I was still a young sophomore in LSGH. Tickets were sold in just hours as expected so we didn't bother getting. We sort of planned to watch it in one place and we did in the swanky basement of my friend's house in QC. It was a couple of hours of basketball with a bunch of guys who appreciated the finer things in life.. awesome tv and a cheesy meaty pizza.
It has always been a very interesting rivalry. In fact we all still think the 2002 Finals was the best game to date. The energy was amazing, shots were explosive and we were on our feet jumping up and down, throwing food, fists pumping the air, spilling drinks on their basement rug.
The crowd did bring some great excitement and really got everybody at home so in to it. But whenever the ateneo leads, things tamed down a bit, it got quiet, and we were sitting down and ate our food pissed and quiet. One dick fight!
Everyone complained that Cortez' game was a sell out. Some ref got out of the way and that benefited the Ateneo and it took away the cool cat's natural luck. But as much as I hate his game that day, I'd say he's still one of the best players in DLSU. Luckily he played his worst in one of the best DLSU-ADMU games and by that, he'd still be a remembered green archer.Labels: balls
britain's got boyle
I have to say I was bummed to see the AnoopDawg go. I was rooting for this guy not just because of his envied vocals. I was a bit hoping to see a different finale this season. I'm craving to see something new, different, unpredictable, shocking in a way.. a midget, an indian guy, singing siamese twins, or a bald woman probably, something we haven't seen but still got the guns to blow the judges' heads.
Susan Boyle for example. Look at her. I thought she was going to juggle teapots in her left while shaving her tongue with the other. Who would've thought that lady could sing so well?? I mean wasn't she extraordinary?
I was blown away when I first saw Susan Boyle days back. She was unexpectedly amazing. So I started thinking. Why was I so much amazed at this lady's voice like everyone else? Why are we so fascinated by Susan Boyle? Would everyone be just as excited if she was 18 and could have been hot instead? Why do we all have this certain idea that unattractive people are not expected to be as talented? Or are we just simply excited that an unattractive someone who never got a chance at her dream is now finally getting big? Well, Britain's really got some big talent there.

hungover
I promised myself that I would never apologize on this blog for being too busy to post. Lots of people do that.. they don't post for a while, start to feel guilty, and write a meek apology to readers about how sorry they are for not writing in the last week. That will not be me. Real life happens, and sometimes blogging is not high on the priority list.
Anyway, my highschool buddy invited me out the other night for a man-date. We went to a party and it was a good party I’d have to say. Full of nice people, nice food, nice music, like everything was pretty swanky. I’m used to college parties with loud messes that I normally spill everything from my glass to the senseless words from my mouth. So I was kind of hoping for a big breakdown, bitch slapping or chick wrestling or something to break up the monotony of this perfect night but nothing. I hate it.
It made me a bit bored. It's one of those parties that you'd want to force booze down everyone's throat like hungry little baby birds. The night was as perfect as it shouldn't be.. perfect and lame at the same time. All of this lovely mingling and small talks trying to act like civilized took its toll on me so I found myself busy with my drink. I got so busy that one nice drink turned into several and then a few more.
I got way hammered that night and woke up lying in someone else's bed (not my first time). Good thing the girl who threw the party is a hangover god, like a trained hangover nurse. Her house is filled with different kinds of pills, from vitamins to vicodin that eased me through the tough morning. I was in bed the whole day and she got me covered. I have a special hangover tea in my left hand and hours of Chuck dvd with a push of a button in my right. Who said hangover isn't fun at all? I'd say it was my favorite worst hangover. And by the way, Chuck is a great show.

3rd blogoversary
ArrestedMagikero turns three!! I started this little hobby three years ago last April 3. It has been a fun ride over the past couple of years. Looking back at the old posts, it's fun to see silliness and maturity all that much in three years. Overall, arrestedmagikero has grown leaps and bounds over the years and I thank everyone that has visited, linked and hyped my blog along the way. That's it for now. Cheers! and thank you for reading.
the new graduate
Graduation is without a match the greatest achievement in the lives of students. Whether it is from high school or college, it is a source of pride for someone who has put in countless hours of hard work. Words alone can’t express how proud you are as a graduate. All I can say is.. yeah baby!! We did it! I made it over the hump.. uh whatever that means.
I've looked forward to graduation all my life since it just means one thing: school is over. Yes, school is done and now I am officially unemployed. I'm off to the real world as a young architect and it shall be legendary. So I thought if I'm going to work for the rest of my life, I guess I deserve to take some time off. Maybe a month of fun, traveling, and discovering my other passions. Since the world of employment is inevitable, why should I be in a rush?Labels: college, life
